I have a system with more than 5 nodes connected with Mnet and the engineering work station is connected through ethernet to Mulcom system. but the station is very slow and I want to connect it via the MNet, I knew that the MBI/MNI card is obsolet. so the qestion is does the MBI card can be used and the EWS will see the other nodes connected via the Mnet?

Thanks,
BR,

An mbi card can be used to attach to an APACS rack via an mbi cable.  Note however there are distance and connection constraints with mbus.

Generally slowness is more associated with resource comm loading rather than the interface throughput.

Thanks for your reply,

another question: will the EWS  see the other nodes via the MBI card or it will see only the node (APACS Rack) where it connected to?

The EWS will see all stations that have an mbus or mnet connection to the rack that it is attached to.
