Board Support Package for SIMATIC PC

The new BSP-SIMATIC PC V2.1 software package expands RMOS3 with new functionalities for use on SIMATIC PCs for more system availability and user-friendliness.

It now also provides PROFINET IO functionalities and under RMOS3 it supports the real-time communication (RT) and isochrone real-time (IRT) communication of PROFINET IO. This facilitates high-performance, cyclic and isochronous transmission of user data via Industrial Ethernet.

In addition to the functions for USB, Ethernet, PROFIBUS and CAN, hardware-level functions are supported, such as control of user LEDs, monitoring of battery, temperature, fans and program execution by means of watchdog. For the PROFINET IO, PROFIBUS, CAN and hardware-level functions, an online help and code completion is offered for the Eclipse development environment (RMOS3-GNU V2.1 or higher).
