S120 & G120 Drive Network Setup Help <

I need to put an S120 drive and G120 drive into a Profinet network but have not done this before so need some help. I got the S120's compact flash card and tried to insert the GSD but the file was already there. Then I tried to insert the universal S120 drive into hardware confgurator but it say it needed to go into PN-IO device but it just connects directly to the network switch. I'm a little confused on what I need to do to get the drives working on the network. Any help is appreciated.
