Dear colegues,

I am trying to make a stand-alone controller for 3 hydraulic axes. The application shall consist of trajectory planner and simple P or PID regulator with feedback position of hydraulic cylinder.

Now I have planned to use HF high feature ET200S modules that have fast analog inputs/outputs and they are all synchronized when writing/reading signals, this is so called isochrone mode, until here everything is clear.

I would like to use IM151-3 PN CPU instead transmitting/receiving data over profibus, and here I don't find an answer. ET200s modules can be syncronized when using HF profibus coupler, but I don't find how to synchronize them using CPU that is present on backplane on ET200S directly.

I want same functinality of isochrone mode except that I want to use ET200S CPU that is directly connected. Is this possible and if so what OBs are used, thanks.

Hello, Marko!

To be honest i don't know answers to your questions, but usually for such tasks SIMOTION is used. (Or perhaps SINAMICS - i always mix those twoblush).

Hi

Speaking under correction but if all your required analogs have the same profibus adress then they will be synchronised but if the analogs all have there own profibus adress then there will be a lag in between because each adress is processed one after the other .

I could be possible using profinet because there you can work real time

Talk to a Siemens representative

hello Marko Bursic

I think, you need use profinet-cpu with IRT-chip. This is last model. for this cpu
characterized by the minimum delay:  small 250microsec. see also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PROFINET
