Dear,
we tried before without drive with small power motor like 2,3kwatt and it burnt after 2 hours. but regarding high killowatt motor what i understood if we increase frequency we are going to increase speed over rated speed and this will reduce the power taken from motor because of rated killowatt at rated speed which achieved at 50 hz. but from mechanical viewpoint is it bearing will withstand overspeed due to 60hz?
Regards,

Hazem

In new conditions, if only frequency is going to change to 60Hz while voltages remaining same then please note that the designed o/p capacity would reduce to 83% of rated capacity.
However if supply voltage is also changing then please inform existing and new supply voltage conditions.
If the motor run at VFD application then NDE bearing should be insulated.

Hi, the attached describes the effects for G120 and MM4 drives, but to be fair, this is applicable to any drive/motor combination.
Hope this answers some more questions.
