hello friends,
I am looking for information about the Serial Bus Interface (for the old SIPART bus with RS232 communication) for the SIPART DR 20.
I have looked for this information in the siemens webs, and appears even the information of the SIPART DR 19 ( Serial SIPART 6DR190x Bus Interface ), but nothing of the SIPART DR 20.
Somebody could share with me this information ? sad

Thanks in advanced.

Dear jm1983,

The manual of the SIPART DR 20 does not write anything about an available RS232 card. That might be the reason you cannot find any information about it while it seems, that this card does not exist for SIPART DR 20.

Regards.

Hello TIBI68 and thank you to respond me,
The SIPART DR 20 yes it supports this communication type by means of the card 6DR2803-8A/8C, the same as the SIPART DR 19,21,22 and 24. You can read about this in the SIPART DR 20 manual "Project Planning Manual " (Order No. 6ZB5600-0AAO2-0BA0, this it is the only wide documentation that I have been able to find in the siemens webs, but it doesn't explain in detail the communication for this bus type ) at page 60 3.2.7 Bus Interface.
The problem is that I need the address of all the variables of the SIPART DR 20 to read them for the SIPART bus.

best regards

Thank you very much Kaulquappe, Rnf:lblSmileyTooltip_
very valuable for me this information, but I will have to abuse a little more of your kindness, I also need the addresses of these variables for the RS232 communication or SIPART bus, do you have some information on this?

best regards.

Dear jm1983,

I found this for you:

https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll/7583833?func=ll&objId=7583833&objAction=csView&nodeid0=10806983&lang=de&siteid=cseus&aktprim=0&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW&load=content&start=31&csSort=-DOCDATUMBEITRAG&subtype=130000

Unfortunate I could not locate any english version of it.

Good luck!

Dear Kaulquappe,

maybe you can find an english version of the document I am refering to.
I know that some old documents might not be available as softcopy.
Maybe somebody has a hardcopy flying around which you can scan and send him.

MfG.

Thank you very much friends, Rnf:lblSmileyTooltip_ Rnf:lblSmileyTooltip_ Rnf:lblSmileyTooltip_
This is exactly the information that I needed, if a English version appeared it would be better, but that is not a great problem that cannot solve a dictionary or a translator.

Well TIBI68,
the project I was involved in was in 1992. All paper documentation went to the recycle bin. Only a CD with sources and some internal documentation is left. So nothing I could pass on to jm1983.

Regards,
Kaulquappe
