Hello everyone.
Simatic Step7 (S7 Prof. V5.4 + SP3.1; S7 SCL V5.3 + SP4) / (Simatic winCC Flexible Adv. 2007) / (Simatic WinCC V7.0 + SP1) can be installed on Windows7 Home Basic + SP1 platform or not. If not, what is the way out? What additional service packs are required? Please suggest.

To check compatibility between Siemens Program and MS, I like using compatibility tool. till now, it is the latest one (last update 17 Jan. 2012) and I think whenever a new software or SP will be released, it will be updated.
Hope this helps.

bear in mind that Siemens does not support the virtual machines... I have had some problems getting it to work.

the best solution for me was upgrading to a step 7 that could run on win 7 64 bits

I think VM works well...in certain cases you can download the programme too in the CPU....
VM is a better option if your Computer hardware is good.....if not then you will have to purchase the mentioned software.....

Prats
