CP1242-7 GPRS Direct Communications

Kevinrut Joined 8/15/2011 Last visit: 9/19/2012 Posts: 1 Rating:  (0)	(0)  Has any one had success with connecting 2 S7-1200 plc's via CP1242-7 modems using gprs direct mode of communication without telecontrol or teleservice functions? Both cpu's firmware V2.1 and CP1242-7 HSP loaded. Sim cards with fixed IP addresses loaded in modems.

Make sure to: adjust the device configuration PIN,APN,... adjust RemoteAddress in both DB5 according to your fixed addresses (one station hast to be active/passive -> ActiveEstablished TRUE/FALSE) Tselectors do not matter, they just have to match each other REQ CON on both PLCs, check Status for errors or success Send/Recv a Word Be aware there are providers that do not allow direct connections within the cellular network at all. (the most i know don't) This is the first thing to check in case the connection does not come up. Assuming the configuration is correct of course. Attachment: Project1.zip  (47 Downloads)
