Dear Sir,

I am communicating WinCC through OPC server of simaticNet, OPC server is perfectly connected, and also i am able to see my all Symbol in WinCC through OPC.SimaticNet server, What the problem is I am unable to see the defined Input, Output, Timers, Bit Memory, Data blocks.

When i export the symbol table and open it with Notepad, there i can see all input Output, Timers, Bit Memory, Data blocks. but when i see in WinCC , I only see the Details not the defined Input Output, Timers, Bit Memory, Data blocks.it takes lot of time for defining the inputs outputs and so on.

So can anybody help regarding this type of issues in the importing of S7 symbol, with defined Input Output, Timers, Bit Memory, Data blocks. in WinCC,

Please see the attachment,

Hello,
If you use OPC Scout (OPC client delivered on Simimatic Net DVD that you can use for test) instead or/off in parallel with WinCC, do you see all symbols in the SYM folder?

If not, verify in the tab "S7" of the OPC Server settings (in HWconfig in Step7) if you have either selected:
- use all symbols
- use configured symbols (but then you must add yourself the symbols that you want to see).

See also in the Simatic Net configuration console, in the folder OPC, if you refer to the symbol list exported by step7.

Be sure that you download HWconfig to the OPC server if you add new symbols.
