Hi all,
I have gone through one similar thread but it didn't help me. I have one CU320-2DP & two PM340 with CUA31. There is one on/off1 button& one Off3 button in machine. That one on/off1button will start/stop both the motors & both motor will start stop & run in speed synchronism(not electronic gearing i.e. position synchonism is not required). Can any body tell me how to commision this using starter. Specialy the start stop command I am not being able to manage. I have good working experience with starter.
Thanks & Regards

Hello,

to start the axis you need a speed setpoint and the OFF1 command - so you parametrize p840 to a digital input.
Why you need OFF3? If you need it for an emergency stop, you can use the SAFETY functions (for example SS1).

How you want to quit an error? If you would have a HMI, you can use the function "HMI- direct access" to visualize errors, change speeds and so on. What hapen, when one drive has an error? Do you need additional logic - then you can use free blocks, or better: DCC.
Note: With HMI- direct access you need a digital input to stop the axis, because a HMI is only class2 master, so a Profibus-/net disconnection wouldn`t be evaluated.

Best regards

Dear Sir, Thank you for your quick reply. I forgot to mention that, there are two TM31 modules & main motor is 1FT6 synchronous servo with Drive-CLiQ & follower motor is 1FT7 synchronous servo with Drive-CLiQ. There is no HMI or Profibus/net option. Speed setpoint for main drive is coming from a pot connected to AI0 of one TM31. I configured main drive as servo speed control(with encoder) with RFG & follower as servo speed control(with encoder) without RFG. I have connected actual speed smoothed i.e. r21 of main drive to speed setpoint2 i.e. p1160 of follower drive with interpolator off. Another pot connected to AI0 of another TM31 is there for operator to adjust speed of follower by +/- 10%. For on/off1 command of both the drives I am using DI0 of first TM31. Now, whenever there will be on/off1 command both drives will reach to speed setpoint synchronously & continue to run synchronously. But my doubt is when on/off1 command will be withdrawn each drive will ramp down as per its own ramp down time. Even if I set same off1 & off3 ramp down time for both the drives, there will be no speed synchronization as per configuration. Also I am clueless regarding how to configure +/- 10% speed correction by operator for follower drive. Please suggest Thanks & Regards Projjwal
