Hi guys,

I have M3 Field PG. Its a new PG sold to one customer and customer has returned it by saying that Cooling Fan is not working.
I have opened the PG and observed it for some time. When i checked voltage on the Fan, it is not receiving any voltage from the Motherboard. Any idea how to fix this issue?PG is new and customer is very angry on this problem.
Is there any setting for FAN or temperature in BIOS??
please help.

Rgds,
Muneeb

Have you tried to turn the fan by hand? maybe he got caught in the radiator. Maybe away from the contact of the fan on the processor board. Try to turn it off and on again. If all else fails - replace.

I have opened the PG ...

Why you open it?
If it is new, you have Siemens - warranty.

Hi there,

I runned the fan by hand and it is moving. It is not a matter that it got stuck. The problem is, it is not receiving Power from Motherboard to run. Secondly i have opened it because i am far away from Germany and i did not want to send back to germany. Also i believe warranty is finished. third is, i have already replaced another PG's Fan but it is old style FIELD PG with its fan on keyboard platform.

Hello,

You are far away fro Germany but around exist Siemens rep. for sure. If you are sure the incomming power from motherboard didn't supplied that fan, the problem is not in fan itself.
1. New fan (the same type as original) replacing the old one.
2. Motherboard checks after eventually.
3. Contact with local Siemens rep. in order to know what are the options there to solve the problem.

Best regards,
