Hi,

I am using an S7-1214C with an IM 151-1 Basic module witch has a 1 Count 24V fast counter with model nr. 6ES7 138-4DA04-0AB0. I dont understand how to get the counter value from it. it is supposed to count the rpm of a motor. How can i get the data from the module? Is there something that i have to install besides the gsd files for the IM 151?

Thanks in advance!

According to the image you posted, it looks like the count is in IW256.  The configuration is not shown in the image.  If you look at IW256 and the count is not changing when the motor is running, check the module configuration parameters and make sure they match.

Once you get the count value, you should be able to do time-based count comparisons to calculate RPM.
