Hello,
I want to set up profibus network with GE fanuc RX 3I CPU with Siemens CPU 317 2DP in master master configuration through DP-DP coupler.
Kindly guide me how to do this!
Thanks in advance .

Hello Mitish;
The installation of the DP/DP coupler is relatively simple.
In each masters' Profibus configuration setup a DP/DP coupler slave. In Step 7 the GSD file should already be loaded, so you should find it in the Gateway section of the Profibus catakog. in HWConfig. For the RX3i configurator you will probably need to import the GSD file and install it in the configuration software (look in your online hel^p to find the procedure):

Next, in each configuration, setup the data exchange areas that you want to exchange between the 2 DP networks. It is very important that the data exchange areas match in size, but they must be opposite: the outputs of the RX3i slave must become inputs to the S7-300 master, and vice-versa.
This is explained in the following FAQ:
What are the special features of input/output addressing with the DP/DP coupler?
You will also find in the FAQ a link to the DP/DP oupler manual, which could be of aid.

Hope this helps,
