Dear All,

i want to purchase industrial PC with following requirement.

1) having RAID1 harddisk
2) two PCI Slot for CP1613 Card
3) Window XP Compitible because i have to install PCS7 V7.1 SP3.

Can anybody give me details which Simatic PC meets all above requirment?

Thanks for your reply.

As far as RAID1 Configuration/ PCI Slots are concern this IPC is compatible.

there few doubts regarding IPC647C.

1)is it possible to fix CP1613 Card on IPC647C? i cheked the brochure but i suspect that CP1613 Card will not be fixed looking the size of PC Cabinet?

2)Can you please confirm that IPC647C is Supporting Windows XP or Not?

BTW if I am not wrong there have 1 or 3 inbuilt CP1616.

according to operating instructions http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/43561718 p. 162, length of pci board is up to 312mm.

Hello, i have found out a compatible dell model T1600 as per my above requirement since IPC are too much costly. We have placed an order and will receive it in next couple of week.

Hello Amit,

To be a little bit OFT - in case of planned PCS7, I don't think the price of one PC have a sense even Siemens IPC.
