Hello experts,

Please explain the attached Function block PI controller (SCON). What is Setpoint for this controller. The XD in the top is measured value? The Parameter TOTZ what it will do?

This TXP SCON is actually a step controller. Basically, it uses the same algorithm as SIMATIC FB42 step controller. Do a search in the forum for this documentation. TOTZ corresponds to a dead band parameter in FB42. The only significant difference is that SCON TXP PI controller needs to multiply XD (control deviation or error signal) with 100 in order to match Gain parameter of FB42.
