Dear All,
I need to know the main differences between the Core and Standard type Servo motors, and the impact of choosing one over the other on the application itself and the control system if any?

Hello Mahmoud Gad,
Technically there is no difference between the Core Type Servo Motors and the Standard Type servo motors.
The distinction is that the Core Type servo motors have a very limited number of configurable options for part number so a cost savings is offered to customer to attempt to streamline production in factory, parts availability, etc. This can be viewed by observing the Siemens PM 21 2011 catalog.
Factory lead time is same currently although it is possible that in future there could be a shorter lead time for Core Type servo motors as well when compared to the Standard Type servo motors.
For instance, if comparing two part numbers with only difference in part number being the digit which specifies Core Type with a "1" in eighth digit (versus a "5") then same technical description, speed/torque curves, etc. would apply.
