T400 download with DUST1

I recently have been trying to connect to a T400 via DUST1, and have run into an issue where Add/Remove within PG/PC interface does not successfully install DUST1.

When I select DUST1 on the left hand side and click install the right hand side flickers and refreshes, but does not actually add DUST1.

So far i have tried to install this DUST1 on 8 different computers. 6 were using 5.4SP3, and DUST1 would not install. The other 2 were using 5.4SP1 and 5.4 SP2 and DUST1 installed fine. I'm unsure is it is the version of Simatic Manager that would cause this issue, but it seems to be a big coincident.

Can anyone provide information on how to successfully install the DUST1 protocol?

Hallo Sandy,

If you have STEP7 V5.4 SP3 with D7-SYS V6.2 you have to do the following steps:

- make shure you have installed the SP3 for D7-SYS V6.2 ( download )
- contact the Hotline and ask for the hotfix that fixes your problem (I think it's hotfix2)

the only solution that have worked for me so far, it is the following (always works):

-Unistall all PCS7 packages

-Install the PCS7 V7.0 (Now, this is the PCS7 that actaully acepts the dust protocol)

-Install Drive ES (Wich enables the Dust Protocol), or any other soft you may have that also has this protocol;

-Now, in the Simatic Manager, Open the Set PG/PC Intaface and Add the Dust Protocol (It will be added, don´t worry)

-Upgrade you PCS7 to the latest version you wish to use.

There you go, Dust1 Protocol in a newer PCS7 version.

Haven´t erver tried the solution mentioned above, if it works, it is WAY BETTER then this one. But this one I can asure that really works.
